Amazon Warehouse Supplemental Referral Incentive Sweepstakes

Official Rules

PLEASE READ THESE RULES CAREFULLY. NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW AND OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES.

1. SWEEPSTAKES OVERVIEW. The Amazon Warehouse Supplemental Referral Incentive Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”) is an internal program open only to certain Amazon Warehouse associates as described below. It is not open to the general public. This Sweepstakes is intended to run in addition to Amazon’s standard “Tier 1 (T1) Employee Referral Program.”
2. ELIGIBILITY. The Sweepstakes is open only to Amazon Warehouse associates in good standing who at the time of entry (a) work at one of the 47 eligible Locations listed in Section 3 below; (b) are legal residents of the 50 United States (incl. District of Columbia); (c) are at least eighteen (18) years of age or the age of majority in their respective jurisdiction of residence, whichever is older; (d) work in a position in one of the following class codes: F, H, R, Q, M, S, X as outlined in Amazon A to Z; and (e) are Level 7 or below (each an “Associate”).
3. SWEEPSTAKES DESCRIPTION, LOCATIONS, & ENTRY PERIODS. The Sweepstakes will consist of 47 separate drawings (each, a “Drawing”), one for each of the eligible Amazon Warehouse locations (each, an “Location”) as listed below. Each Drawing, will have its own potential winner (“Potential Prize Winner”) and its own prize (each, a “Prize”).
The eligible Locations are: WND1, WWI4, WCH2, WFS1, WWI2, WNY1, WSD1, WWI3, WMN2, WIN1, WMO3, WIN2, WNY2, XAQ2, WIL4, WOH1, WNY3, WIL1, WTX2, WPR1, WWS1, WTH1, WMT1, DML3, DRT4, DDV3, DWA2, DMC3, DPP1, DWS4, DGR8, DDE9, DNH2, DPD7, DAB4, DDT3, DIA4, DUT3, DDC4, DPP7, DGT2, DDV2, DBL8, DIL5, DUT7, DTU3 and DGR6.
The Sweepstakes will begin at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) on October 18, 2023 and conclude on 11:59 p.m. ET December 9, 2023 (“Sweepstakes Entry Period”). Amazon.com Services LLC (“Sponsor”) computer is the official time keeping device for this Sweepstakes.
4. HOW TO ENTER. During the Sweepstakes Entry Period, eligible Associates may refer individuals (each a “Referral”) for available Tier 1 jobs at any Amazon Warehouse. For each Referral that begins work at an Amazon Warehouse during the Sweepstakes Entry Period, the eligible Associate shall receive one (1) entry (“Entry”) into the Sweepstakes Drawing for the eligible Associate’s Location. For clarity, the Location for the applicable Drawing corresponds to the location at which the eligible Associate works, not the location at which the Referral begins work. THERE ARE NO LIMITS TO THE NUMBER OF ENTRIES AN ASSOCIATE MAY OBTAIN.
There are two methods by which an eligible Associate may make a Referral:
  1. Method one (manual): Obtain and fill out a Referral Card (providing your Amazon login or alias found on your Amazon badge) and give that Referral Card to another individual.
  2. Method two (digital): (i) Text/email/DM the following URL https://www.amazon.com/getpaid to another individual; (ii) provide that individual with your Amazon login information.
5. WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION.
  1. 5.1 General Drawing Selection. On or about December 13, 2023, at each of the Locations, Sponsor or Sponsor’s designee will select one (1) Entry as a Potential Prize Winner in a random Drawing from among all Entries received at that Location during the Sweepstakes Entry Period. The odds of winning are based on the number of eligible Entries received.
  2. 5.2. Winner Notification. On or about December 14, 2023 the Potential Prize Winner will be notified by phone and email. Except where legally prohibited, Potential Prize Winner may be required to sign and return an Acknowledgment of Eligibility, Liability & Publicity Release (“Acknowledgment”) in order to claim his/her Prize.
  3. 5.3. Winner Verification. POTENTIAL PRIZE WINNER IS SUBJECT TO VERIFICATION OF ELIGIBILITY AND COMPLIANCE WITH THESE OFFICIAL RULES BY SPONSOR, WHOSE DECISIONS ARE FINAL AND BINDING IN ALL MATTERS RELATED TO THE SWEEPSTAKES. AN ELIGIBLE ASSOCIATE IS NOT A WINNER OF ANY PRIZE, EVEN IF THE NAME OF THE POTENTIAL PRIZE WINNER HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED, UNLESS AND UNTIL POTENTIAL PRIZE WINNER’S ELIGIBILITY AND COMPLIANCE WITH THE OFFICIAL RULES HAS BEEN VERIFIED AND THE POTENTIAL PRIZE WINNER HAS BEEN NOTIFIED THAT VERIFICATION IS COMPLETE. Upon verification of Potential Prize Winner’s eligibility, Potential Prize Winner shall become a “Winner.”
  4. 5.4. Alternate Winner. If a Potential Prize Winner cannot be contacted, if he/she fails to sign and return the Acknowledgement within the required time period, or in the event that a Potential Prize Winner is disqualified for any reason, Sponsor may award the applicable Prize to an alternate winner selected in a random drawing conducted by Sponsor or Sponsor’s designee from among all remaining eligible Entries. Only one (1) alternate drawing will be held, after which any remaining Prize will remain un-awarded.
6. PRIZES.
  1. 6.1 Prize: One (1) Prize consisting of a Sony PlayStation 5 (PS5) will be available to be awarded in each of the 23 Drawings. Forty-seven (47) Prizes will be available to be awarded throughout the Sweepstakes.
  2. 6.2. ARV: The approximate retail value (“ARV”) of the Prize is Five Hundred Dollars ($500 USD). The total ARV of all available Prizes available in the Sweepstakes is $23,500 USD.
  3. 6.3. Restrictions: Any and all applicable federal, state, and local taxes and all fees and expenses related to acceptance and use of Prize not specifically stated herein are the responsibility solely of Winner. Prize cannot be substituted, assigned, or transferred; however, Sponsor reserves the right to make equivalent prize substitutions at its sole discretion. Sponsor will not replace any lost or stolen Prizes or components of a Prize.
7. GENERAL TERMS.
  1. 7.1. General Conditions: Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be attempting to tamper with or undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes; to violate these Official Rules; or to act in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Sponsor in its sole discretion will determine whether an eligible Associate has qualified for an Entry into the Sweepstakes according to the terms specified in these Official Rules. If, for any reason, the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, void any suspect Entries and (a) cancel or terminate the Sweepstakes (or any portion thereof); (b) modify the Sweepstakes or suspend the Sweepstakes to address the impairment and then resume the Sweepstakes in a manner that best conforms to the spirit of these Official Rules; and/ or (c) award the Prize at random from among the eligible, non-suspect Entries received up to the time of the impairment.
  2. 7.2. Limitations of Liability and Release: Sponsor, and its agencies are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, damaged, stolen, misdirected, or illegible Entries; lost, interrupted, or unavailable network, server, or other connections, garbled transmissions or miscommunications, telephone transmission problems; computer or software malfunctions or damage to a user’s computer equipment (software or hardware); technical failures; or other errors or malfunctions of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, or otherwise. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. ANY ATTEMPT BY ANY PERSON TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE ASSOCIATED WITH THE PROGRAM OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE PROGRAM MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAW, AND, SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO PROSECUTE AND SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

    By participating in the Sweepstakes, Associates agree that Sponsor will not be responsible, will have no liability for, and will be held harmless by Associate for any legal claims arising out of eligible Associate’s participation in the Sweepstakes, in any Sweepstakes-related activity, in acceptance and/or use of the Prize, and all Associates hereby release Sponsor from any such claims. The Sweepstakes is provided “as is,” and Sponsor makes no warranty of any kind, whether express or implied. Some jurisdictions may not allow the foregoing limitations or exclusions, so some of the above limitations or exclusions may not apply. Check local laws for any restrictions or limitations regarding these limitations or exclusions.
  3. 7.3. Publicity: Except where prohibited by law, participation in the Sweepstakes constitutes Winner’s grant to Sponsor (which grant will be confirmed in writing on request of Sponsor) the right and permission to print, publish, broadcast, and use, worldwide in any media now known or hereafter developed the Winner’s name, voice, likeness, and biographical information for advertising, trade, and promotional purposes without additional consideration, compensation, permission, or notification.
  4. 7.4. Confidentiality: As part of the Sweepstakes, eligible Associates may receive or have access to certain non-public “Confidential Information”. By entering this Sweepstakes, eligible Associate acknowledges and agrees that all Confidential Information must and will not be disclosed to any third party for any reason, except to the extent necessary to participate in the Sweepstakes.
  5. 7.5. Governing Law: Federal, state and local laws apply. These Official Rules are governed by and construed in accordance with Washington state law without regard to conflict of laws.
