Amazon Fresh grocery stores are a one-stop shop where customers can find friendly service, great value, and ultimate convenience. Join our hourly store team and help deliver an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. We’re looking for individuals who have a passion for customer service, a desire to continuously learn, and are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Job Overview

As an Amazon Fresh associate, your daily tasks will vary based on store and/or department needs. Some of your responsibilities may include:
Customer Service and Engagement
  1. Greet and welcome customers to the store
  2. Ask customers about their shopping needs, provide recommendations, and offer samplings
  3. Stay updated on store products, promotions, and pricing to assist customers with questions
  4. Use cash register to ring up customer transactions and assist customers in self-service checkout lanes
  5. Receive and process in-store and Amazon.com returns
  6. Educate customers on the benefits and use of Amazon’s in-store shopping technology
  7. Retrieve shopping carts from parking lot and ensure cart storage areas are neatly arranged
  8. Stock shelves and maintain a cleanly sales floor
Inventory and Stockroom Support
  1. Receive and unload product from delivery trucks
  2. Sort, scan, and verify deliveries
  3. Inspect product for quality and freshness
  4. Separate product for sales floor, cooler, and backroom prep areas
  5. Break down boxes or pallets and transport to storage area
  6. Operate equipment such as pallet jacks, carts, and dollies to transport and arrange product
Food Preparation and Produce Handling
  1. Prepare ready-to-eat meals and food items including cold salads, sandwiches, pizzas, and rotisserie chickens
  2. Use equipment such as scales, oven, microwave, and cutting tools
  3. Weigh, label, date, and package food items in accordance with Amazon Fresh standards
  4. Engage with customers at the deli counter, offer recommendations and samplings, and provide information to help them make product-related decisions
  5. Ensure produce is available by stocking fruit and vegetable displays, checking quality, rotating product
Online Grocery Order Fulfillment
  1. Receive and Navigate store aisles to shop and pick produce, meats, and other products to fulfill customer online grocery orders product from delivery trucks
  2. Inspect items for freshness and quality
  3. Verify order accuracy and offer recommendations for modifications if requested products are unavailable
  4. Package picked items and stage them for delivery or pickup
  5. Engage with customers and provide friendly service when they collect their order or during delivery to their vehicle

What is the hiring process?

If you accept a job offer, you’ll be prompted to complete a background check and new hire documentation, including a Form I-9. Pending the background check results, you can expect to start within 1-3 weeks.

TASK
Describe the goal.

ACTION
Describe the actions you took. Use an appropriate amount of detail. What steps did you take? What was your contribution? Let us know what you did, not what your team or group did. Use the word ‘I,’ not ‘we.’

RESULT
Describe the outcome of your actions. Don’t be shy about taking credit for what you did. What happened? How did it end? What did you accomplish? What did you learn?
